There are no further showers overnight. Our tarp is wet only from the dew. We breakfast on pancakes cooked in camp and cannot finish them all. By 9:30 we are on the road, having gained an hour when we crossed into the central time zone.

Once again our drive is smooth and the weather is fine. At a rest stop in Minnesota we have a chance to catch up with both S and G. By 2:00 we arrive at Canoe On Inn in Ely. After much anticipated showers we are off to Boat House Brew Pub and Restaurant for an early supper. Beer and sandwiches are excellent. We scope out Ely a bit as we walk to dinner and then, it’s on to the laundromat. We now know Piragis Outfitters is an easy walk from our inn. We have already selected tomorrow’s breakfast location, The Chocolate Moose. The rest of our evening will be spent waiting for laundry, reading and trying to get some blog on line.
