In Bishop

22 September 2017, Friday

Today is the first day of autumn. As I check the news on NPR from our motel in Bishop, I see that the Sierra snowfall on the last full day of summer has made the national news. O and I are happy to be warm and sleeping indoors for a day or two.

We breakfast at Looney Bean which has excellent coffee. Next we have haircuts for our desert expedition. Then it is off to the laundromat. Somewhere in between we manage to stock up on a few groceries for us and some extra coolant for Vincent. (The dashboard warning light asked us to check coolant when we came down from Sabrina Basin. It was at minimum level so we topped off for our trek through the desert.) I also find some time to upload my blog. We have a lovely dinner at Sage and return to our motel for more packing and (we hope) a good night’s sleep.
