Pearrygin Lake back to Bellevue along highway 20

We all sleep very well and wake to a breakfast of bacon – cheddar potato cakes. Even Zephy gets a tiny nibble of bacon jerky. As we are breaking camp, S notes a hot air balloon over the ridge beyond the lake. Once we are packed up, Zephy takes us on a short walk. Then we pile into Vincent for the trip home.

We stop at Diablo Lake Overlook along Highway 20 and then at the North Cascades Visitor Center to play tourist. Back in Arlington, we visit Stilly’s Diner. This time they are open and we sample their chocolate shakes. The verdict is…not bad, but definitely not Winegar’s! Back in Bellevue, G joins us for the next few days, and we cook up a lovely pasta dinner together.
